Computer-to-Plate...the printing process
STEP 1 - You submit a digital file
Prepare your file in any of the popular Mac or Windows desktop publishing programs and include your graphics and font resource files. Depending on the completed file size, send the files by the Internet or on a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM.
STEP 2 - Prepress
Tristar's prepress professionals review your files and do the final enhancements. A full-size colour proof is prepared on our 44" wide Epson 9600 Pro proofing system.
STEP 3 - Approval
Back at your office, get the approval for the proof with your colleagues or clients. Not only does everyone benefit from a quick turnaround at the proof stage but the costs are lower. Digital proofing eliminates film, saving labor and materials, and reducing environmental costs.
STEP 4 - Printing
After approval, your file is sent to a Computer-to-Plate System. Lasers burn the image onto blank plates and within minutes, your job is underway. Your files are archived should you want to reprint your job in the future.
STEP 5 - Delivery
Delivered directly to you or anywhere else as requested.
